Supercrud
I can just imagine some grown men crying at the thought of "ruining" a fine brass
model like this Overland Models ditcher with a such a "paint job" as this. To be honest, I was
not looking forward to painting the thing properly—it would have been a royal pain getting an even coat
of paint on all of those details tucked away under the roof. Instead, I started with a quick base coat
of grimy black spray, then hit it with several rounds of Supercrud treatment. The result is a really
eye-catching foreground model that, to my eye, looks very believable in a modern setting. I could imagine
walking up to it and picking off flakes of rust with my fingers.
