Completed rock quarry
Quite a few pounds of Hydrocal went into this sky-high quarry. Rubber rock mold expert
Rick Spano was kind enough to show me the ropes. The darker color of the lower rockwork was due to the
fact that it was still wet when it was photographed. Out of sight to the right was a hidden shaft that
was being prepared for a special effect: cascades of blasted rock would tumble down the face of the quarry
on occasion, providing the loading cranes with an endless supply of material to load into gondolas.
