Autumnal Reverie Bucolic Bucks County in Pennsylvania is beautiful year-round, but early autumn is particularly lovely, and in this setting we have many opportunities to enjoy the New Hope and Ivyland in a series of long, lingering looks at Consolidated #40 as she steams through the photogenic countryside. We start with some brief vignettes from a few my favorite vantage points; there's much more to come. Click the images to watch the videos on YouTube. Videos open in a new window. Episode 1: #40 at Aquetong Road #40 ambles up the grade toward Aquetong Road on an early Autumn afternoon, circa 1996. You might be fooled into thinking the video is silent, but it's just that #40 is quite far away, so crank up the sound as she approaches the bend! Uploaded 11 April 2008; 3-1/2 minutes. |
